Discover the keyboard shortcuts of one of the most popular 2D illustration and animation programs around TVPaint Animation, with After Effects and Toon Boom Harmony, is one of the most complete and used 2D illustration and animation programs on the market. Keep in mind that we are not the only ones affected by this, Toonboom also is (as David said). For Monterey, we were not able to install it on some of the Macs that could run it (and not all of them can), while for Big Sur we were ready weeks before it was released. For High Sierra (10.13), the dongles would not work during the beta, and when the OS released, they were working.Īnd those are the situations when we were actually able to install the Beta. When we were still using our old dongles, sometimes during the beta phases, the dongles would not work, then with the following beta version they would work again, and then not.ĭuring Yosemite (10.10), on the last beta, the dongles were working, and when the OS released, they were no longer working and Safenet had to release a fix for this (and it took them weeks). However, there has always been a random factor with Apple updates. We are also frustrated with the situation ourselves. I understand your frustration, and your concerns are valid. Again, I'm sure there is a logical reason, I would just like to know why this seems to happen every year. Yes, I'm a habitual early adopter, so I suppose it's on me that TVPaint doesn't work on my main system, but I'm feeling a bit frustrated with the regularity of this problem with TVPaint. All the apps I use from Adobe, Maxon, and Autodesk work fine. The version I'm using is TVP Pro 9.5.3 (32bit?) on windows 64bit.Dmceachern wrote: ↑, 23:22I'm sorry, I'm a bit ignorant of the process, but I'm struggling to understand why it was just discovered with the public release of Monterey that things didn't work? The OS has been in beta for months and was announced in June. Is there a way to do this? Or any other solution to the problem that I'm overlooking? I'm very new to TVP, I've only been using it for practical purposes as a student for a week. If instead I could scale the entire layer, perhaps that would circumvent the problem. And since all of the drawings are lined up for animation, shifting the drawings based on this centering will misalign them. The and buttons next to each color let you navigate to the following or previous mark. What TVP seems to have done is taken the center of the drawings and aligned them all, but if one drawing is bigger/different to another, then the center of the drawing shifts. The + and - buttons lets you directly add and remove an Image mark to the current layer’s curent frame, without going through the menus. Welcome to TVPaint Community forums TVPaint boards for technical support. I believe this is because each drawing varies in size - firstly because the character is moving and secondly, because I have notes on some of the frames, and the 'Position' tool selects each drawing individually, encompassing only drawn marks on each frame. However, when I scale them down and apply the changes, what happens is that the drawings DO scale down, but when played back I see that the individual drawings have shifted position in relation to eachother, destroying the animation. I understand that the 'Transform'>'Position' tool allows me to scale down drawings and resposition them, which I have tried. ![]() ![]() ![]() I have drawn layer of clean roughs animation, onto a deliberately oversized resolution - 3200 x 1800, so that I can scale it down as needed to fit 1920x1080 and frame it as I like.
